Jeremiah - A Generation Lost

From my Point of View

jeremiah.jpgBefore I left Trondheim I got hooked on the latest production from J. Micheal Straczinsky, namely the television series Jeremiah. The series is about the world 15 years after a bioweapon got loose and killed everyone above the age of puberty. It left the kids to fend for themselves and create a new world on the ruins of the former United States. However, in a world filled with lunatics, neo-nazis and remains of the U.S. Military, this is not an easy job. I have just downloaded the first two episodes of the second season of the show, and I really like what I see!

** Potential Spoilers **
Season one of the series ended in a spectacular cliffhanger with a confrontation between Valhalla Sector and Thunder Mountain. I had expected the series second season to portray this conflict, but amazingly JMS pulls a similar stunt to the one he did in Babylon 5 (where everyone expected the series to end with victory in the Shadow-war, but instead continiued on for two more seasons after this). The storyline everyone expected was abruptly ended in a shocking way just after the two first episodes in season 2, and just like in Babylon 5 we are left with a world in which we have no idea of what the future will bring. This again shows the genious that is JMS!

My god! I can't believe it's Luke Perry who's playing Jeremiah. I've always thought he was more Brad-Pitt-handsome-looking =). Jeremiah is my favorite cartoon!
